Talk about events in the past

Marina: Did I ever tell you about my wedding?
Clara: No, when was that?
Marina: Oh, it was two years ago now. I've got some photos.

Clara: Oh, can I see? Were there many people there?

Marina: Oh yes, there were about a hundred of us.

Clara: Did you have a good time?

Marina: Yes, we did. We all had a great time. The best bit was at the end of the day. 

Clara: What happened then? 

Marina: Your father and I got on my scooter and rode down the high street in our wedding clothes.

Clara: That sounds great!
