photography: Water art

Tim Tadder, american photographer, has produced a great series of futuristic pictures showing bald people with water instead of hair. It's not a digital trick - the water is is balloons that are dropped on the models' heads. Tadder takes the photo at the exact moment the balloon explodes. Idiot of the month

Police in the western Australian city of Geralton had an incredible piece of luck when they were chasing a young criminal. The 17-year-old tried to escape the police by jumping over a fence. Unfortunately for him, he landed on a trampoline on the other side and bounced back into the air where the police were able to catch him. ''I think it was one of those situations you probably couldn't repeat if you tried to,'' said Sergeant Grant Rosman.

Talk about events in the past

Marina: Did I ever tell you about my wedding?
Clara: No, when was that?
Marina: Oh, it was two years ago now. I've got some photos.

Clara: Oh, can I see? Were there many people there?
Marina: Oh yes, there were about a hundred of us.
Clara: Did you have a good time?
Marina: Yes, we did. We all had a great time. The best bit was at the end of the day.
Clara: What happened then?
Marina: Your father and I got on my scooter and rode down the high street in our wedding clothes.
Clara: That sounds great!

Lego bridge

Pedestrians can relax: this bridge isn't really made of Lego! It is an old bridge in Germany which artist Martin Heuwold painted to resemble Lego. Martin spent four weeks painting it. The result is amazing: it makes you want to play with your old Lego!

Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepsen's first hit, ''Call me maybe'', was called ''the song of summer 2012''. It was Number One in her home country Canada, and many other countries such as the UK and the USA. Carly wrote it as a folk song, but then it was made into a pop song. It is on Carly's first album Curiosity, which includes five of her own songs, and one song from the legendary Canadian folk singer Joni Mitchell.
